Slough, UK — December 2, 2008 —  AnyDoc Software, a specialist in the automation of data capture and document classification, is extending its solutions with its partner, Sivis.  The proven combination of AnyDoc®INVOICE™ with SAM Invoice from Sivis provides a seamless connection to SAP.  The solution is also available as a web-based service thanks to the Sivis’ FOX solution.

Receipt of invoices is made easy thanks to AnyDocINVOICE and the Sivis suite.  AnyDocINVOICE automates the capture of incoming invoices and feeds data images into many bookkeeping and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.  The incoming invoices are analyzed, and the required data is automatically identified and extracted.  Corporate regulations and business rules can be individually defined and dynamically applied.  In addition, a business workflow can be automatically started and supplied with the data and images.  AnyDocINVOICE is independent of ERP systems, but has a certified interface to SAP Accounts Payable using AnyDoc®EXCHANGEit™ 5.1.

The main advantages of AnyDocINVOICE include true free-form technology (AnyApp™) for automatically capturing invoice data — including complex position data such as detail lines — as well as an extremely high recognition rate and a very high performance volume.  The solution is based on the award-winning product OCR for AnyDoc®.

The classic combination: AnyDocINVOICE & SAM Invoice
Invoice data is captured by AnyDocINVOICE and automatically verified (e.g. checking of totals, VAT, company business rules, etc.).  The suppliers’ data is also compared against the data from the downstream system, e.g. SAP.  The invoice data can then be displayed in SAP through SAM Invoice and entered into the workflow.  In the SAP system, the captured invoice data is automatically compared with existing data in the system — such as the order number — and forwarded to one or more departments for review, revision, and approvals.  A typical example for this process is review and approval by the client for release of the payment and entry into the books.

SAP users can also use SAM Invoice via a front-end application, WebFlow.  Webflow makes local or central processing through the Internet possible and simplifies the approval process since workstations only need Internet access to process the AP invoices.

The new web-based combination: AnyDocINVOICE & FOX
The new FOX solution from Sivis runs according to the same principle, with invoice data automatically captured and validated using AnyDocINVOICE.  However, it is a completely web-enabled workflow system that runs independently of the ERP system.  It is compatible with all current ERP systems and can be used simultaneously in the SAP environment by users throughout the company.  The FOX workflow can be installed in just a few days and is so intuitive that minimal training is needed.
