The Integrated Solutions I-Cubed Awards recognize installations that Innovate, Integrate and Inspire outstanding document and content management technology.  RMS was recognized for their innovative implementation of AnyDocEOB to automatically process nearly 1.8 million Explanation of Benefits forms (EOBs) annually.  The healthcare document service provider uses AnyDocEOB to automatically capture critical data from EOBs — the data-rich small-type font remittance forms which healthcare providers receive from insurance companies along with payment after providing patient care.  An EOB is just one of many types of remittance documents that are commonly received by accounts receivable departments and are processed by AnyDoc solutions.

RMS utilizes AnyDocEOB to classify, process or index all incoming EOBs and general correspondence and to provide clients with 24-hour turnaround of their processed EOBs.  Additionally, the AnyDoc solution supports RMS’ adherence to strict HIPAA regulations which ensure patient privacy with the creation of “snippets” — isolated images of individual patient claims.

With their AnyDoc solution in place, RMS processes between 5,000 to 7,000 forms per day, with higher than 99% accuracy and greater than 85% posting rates for processed files to their customers’ practice management or hospital information accounting systems.  Without the automated technology of AnyDocEOB, RMS would have needed to hire hundreds of employees to manually key data in order to handle their volume of EOBs, which continues to grow along with their growing number of customers.  Additionally, AnyDocEOB allows RMS to take advantage of automating secondary insurance billing and claim denial management for their clients.
