TAMPA, Fla. – March 18, 2002 – Two Microsystems Technology resellers received AIIM Channel Connection Awards at the 2002 AIIM show in San Francisco. Business Solutions Magazine presented awards to The IDP Companies and KeyMark Inc., for "Innovative Document Management Installation" and "Innovative Forms Processing Installation," respectively. Business Solutions’ editors selected the winners based on the scope of the installation, integration complexity, and the benefits and return on investment for the end user customer.
The IDP Companies, Inc., won the "Innovative Document Management Installation Award" for its installation with The Massachusetts National Guard. Before automation, a single request for information could take up to three hours. IDP provided a solution that included its INFOtrieve suite of imaging products, Microsystems OCR for Forms™, a Kodak scanner, a Kofax Adrenaline card for scanner interface, and Compaq server and workstations. Now, those three-hour searches take less than 30 seconds.
The other Microsystems VAR winner was KeyMark, Inc. KeyMark won the award for "Innovative Forms Processing Installation" for its installation at The Cameron & Barkley Company. KeyMark provided an end-to-end solution to automate invoice processing utilizing Microsystems Technology’s OCR for Forms, and AnyForm Technology for Invoice. Cameron & Barkley is using this solution to process invoices from more than 60,000 different vendors. The solution has a projected 15-month payback for the customer. KeyMark estimates that the cost to process an invoice has decreased 26%. And, in the end, the company was able to increase its processing volume to 100,000 invoices a month while reducing the staff required.
Awards were presented at a special luncheon, March 6 at the AIIM 2002 Conference and Exposition in San Francisco. Microsystems extends its congratulations to all the winners.
